These 9 terroristswere belonging to terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, stormed the Parliament complex in New Delhi and opened fire blindly. The attack led to the death of 14 peoples, including one natural citizen.

On 13 December 2001, 9 terrorists come through the Parliament House in a car with Home Ministry and Parliament labels. While both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha had been postponement 40 minutes prior to the event, many members of parliament and government officials such as Home Minister LK Advani and Minister of State for Defence Harin Pathak were consider to have still been in the building at the time of the attack. More than 100 peoples, including chief politicians were inside the parliament construction at the time. The mobster used a fake identity sticker on the car they drove and thus breached the security open around the parliamentary complex. The dynamiter carried AK47 rifles, grenade launchers, pistols and grenades. Delhi Police officials claimed that mobster received instructions from Pakistan and the operation was carried out under the guidance of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency.

The mobster drove their vehicle into the car of the Indian Vice-President Krishan Kant (who was in the construction at the time), got out, and began shooting. The Vice-President's guards and security staff shot back at the terrorists and then started closing the gates of the compound. A equal attacks was carried out on assembly of Srinagar, Kashmir, during November 2001, when 38 peoples were killed by dynamiter.

 • Five policemen, a Parliament protection guard, and a gardener were killed, and 22 others were injured.

 • All MPs and ministers escaped unassailable.

 • The attacks triggered extensive and emphatic investigations which revealed possible involvement of four accused namely Afzal Guru, Shaukat Hussain, SAR Geelani and Navjot Sandhu.

 • Navjot Sandhu was absolvent of all the charges except the one under Section 123 IPC (hide with intent to facilitate design to wage war) for which she was convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for five years and to pay a fine.

 • Death phrase were imposed on the other three accused by the trial court.
