How to safe use YouTube?

1. Set up a family account: Setting up a shared Google account to view and upload videos you watch on your children, as well as places they share information. It also lets you get around Google's minimum age requirements.

2. Turn on safety mode: It's kind of hidden, but YouTube, most (but not all) will block offensive content is a security mode. You will however find it to the bottom of the home page to scroll all the way down, the will.

3. Choose carefully: Just all the way through before you add them to the list, be sure to watch the video, says Knorr. Otherwise you have a phenomenon known as "YouTube Poop," in which the video that started out innocuous contain obscene or otherwise objectionable content midway through can fall prey to.

4. Kill comments: Your children do not need to go swimming in the YouTube cesspool; you can turn off the comments. Click the Upload button and posting a video you will have to start. Upload screen, select the Advanced Settings tab. Kill comments entirely, or block them until you've had a chance to approve them: You have two options.

5. Accentuate the positive: YouTube is a great source of education and entertainment can be. You find good stuff to kids and to help guide them toward it, Knorr says.
