About Sachin Tendulkar-


We all know about Sachin Tendulkar. He is a great cricketer in Indian team. Sachin has the highest number of runs in both Test cricket and One Day Internationals and he also has the highest number of centuries in matches. Sachin’s last Test match being played against the West Indies. He known as Tendlya, Master Blaster, God of Cricket and Little Master.

Sachin was born on 24 April 1973 at Mumbai. His father was Ramesh Tendulkar. He was a well-known Marathi novelist. His mother was Rajni Tendulkar. She was worked in the insurance industry. Sachin was only child of his parents but his father has three other children with his first wife. Sachin was considered a bully, and often picked up fights with new children in his school. Mr. Ajit tell Sachin about cricket in 1984. Ajit (his father’s another son by his first wife) introduced the young Sachin to Ramakant Achrekar.  Ramakant Achrekar was a famous cricket coach and a club cricketer of repute, at Shivaji Park, Dadar. At first time Sachin did not play his best.  Ajit told Achrekar that he was feeling self-conscious due to the coach observing him that’s why he did not play his best. Ramakant Achrekar gave him another chance to play and this time he play much better then accepted at Achrekar's academy. Sachin had attended the Indian Education Society's New English School in Bandra. He was also coached under the guidance of Achrekar at Shivaji Park in the mornings and evenings. Sachin would practice for hours on end in the nets. Now he was played well and because of that he had become a common conversation point in local cricketing circles. Besides school cricket, he also played club cricket, initially representing John Bright Cricket Club in Bombay's premier club cricket tournament, the Kanga League.

Sachin attended the MRF Pace Foundation in Madras to train as a fast bowler at the age of 11. he also turned out as substitute for Imran Khan's side in an exhibition game at Brabourne Stadium in Bombay on 20 January 1987, to mark the golden jubilee of Cricket Club of India. He played his first Test Match on 15 November 1989 (Pakistan) and he played his first ODI match on 18 December 1989 (West Indies). He played only one T20 match on 1 December 2006 (South Africa). In his time he plays 200 test matches, 463 ODI matches, 310 FC matches, and 551 LA matches. He scored runes 15,921 in test matches, 18,426 in ODI matches, 25,396 in FC matches, and 21,999 in LA matches. He received 100s at 51 times and 50 at 68 times in Test matches. He received 100s at 49 times and 50s at 96 times in ODI matches. He received 100s at 81 times and 50s at 116 times in FA matches. He received 100s at 60 times and 50s at 114 times in LA matches. On 16 November 2013 he played his last 200th and final match against the West Indies in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

Sachin married Anjali at the age of 22 on 24 May 1995. Anjali is daughter of Gujarati industrialist Anand Mehta and British social worker Annabel Mehta. Anjali is six years senior by him. Anjali said they meet in 1990 at airport after that they lives together and in 1994 they got engaged in New Zealand. Now they have two child Sara (born in 1997) and Arjun (born 1999). Sachin is an ardent devotee of Lord Ganesha and Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi. In 2006, Sachin signed a contract with Saatchi and Saatchi's ICONIX valued at ₹180 crore (US$27 million) over three years. He is the 51st richest sportsman in the world in 2013.

In his career he received many honours like- Arjuna Award (in 1994), Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna (in 1997-98), Bharat Ratna (in 2014) and many more.
