About Kashmir flood:-
The Kashmir people endure the flood and other districts caused by torrential rainfall. Like India’s part Jammu and Kashmir suffered as well as Pakistan administered Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Punjab were affected by flood. On 2 September 2014, Kashmir received heavy rain. The Jhelum River in Srinagar was over flow, 4.40 feet (1.34 m) above the danger mark and at 33 feet (10 m) at Sangam in Anantnag district above the danger mark. Chenab River was also overflow to danger mark. Hundreds villages were affected in Pakistan by river’s overflow.
According to reports, 277 people in India and 280 people in Pakistan were died by this flood. Home Ministry of India say about 2600 villages were damage and 360 villages of Kashmir were completely distorted by this flood and 1225 villages of Pakistan were damaged by flood. September month was fully rainfall. Highest rain was record between 2 September and 5 September. For effected people India Government provided 25,000 tents and 40,000,000 blankets.
