What is WhatsApp?

WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other! Because WhatsApp Messenger uses the same internet data plan that you use for email and web browsing, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends.In addition to basic messaging iPhone, Android and BlackBerry WhatsApp Messenger users can send each other unlimited images, video and audio media messages.

WhatsApp is a free to download messenger app for smartphones. WhatsApp uses the internet to send messages, images, audio or video. The service is very similar to text messaging services however, because WhatsApp uses the internet to send messages, the cost of using WhatsApp is significantly less than texting. It is popular with teenagers because of features like group chatting, voice messages and location sharing.

With 700 Million users, as of January 2015, WhatsApp is currently the biggest online messenger app on the market. WhatsApp founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, both former employees of Yahoo! After Koum and Acton left Yahoo! in September 2007, the duo travelled to South America as a break from work. Swelled to 250,000 users in just a few months, growing so fast that they had to add a charge for using the service per year to slow the subscription rate down. In 2014 WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook.


How to download and install WhatsApp?

1. Go Google play store on your android smart phone.

2. Type in search box WhatsApp and search it.

3. Click on pop up for download.

4. After download click install it.

How to use WhatsApp?

1. Register and Verify your Phone Number.

2. Tap "Continue," then tap "Allow" for each if you wish to grant these permissions.

3. Enter your mobile phone number and tap on arrow. You will then see a verify dialogue.

4. Tap "OK." In order to verify your phone number, you will be sent an SMS text with a six-digit code.

5. In the next few mins, you may be asked if you want to back up your messages to Google Drive. To ensure that unencrypted backups are not sent to Google, choose "Never" and then tap "Done."

6. Now you upload photo and status on your WhatsApp profile.

7. Now invite your family and friends on WhatsApp for chat and you make a group on WhatsApp.

8. With WhatsApp, you can also send pictures, videos, voice messages, your location, and even contacts.

9. Change your WhatsApp status and profile photo.

10. Change the WhatsApp chat wallpaper.

11. Save photos you have received.
